I think you would really benefit from regular massages/possibly acupunture. Someone who lifts/golfs as much as you would be an excellent case study. A massage a month should help prevent another episode of this nature. Also, the relaxation can’t hurt your golf game.

I hurt my back last Sunday morning. It was more of a tweak though. I slept in an odd bed the night before. You know me, always sleeping in weird beds. I took some Oxy and it went away. Some drugs are so magical.

I’m not gonna push it with golf, but the doctor told me that I should start getting back into my routines. When I asked him about golf he said I should wait a week and see how it feels.

This whole incident is probably stemming from a football injury I sustained when I was in high school. My back hasn’t been right since then.

You don’t realize how much you use your lower back muscles until they rebel on you. I remember being nearly unable to wipe my own ass. That was if I could actually get off the toilet.

Glad to hear your healing, but take it from an old man; give it an extra week before you hit the golf course. It will be super sensitive until it’s healed completely.

Also, not to bring you down, but once you injure a spot on your back, it’s extremely easy to reinjure it from that point on. After throwing my back out years ago, I still have trouble with the same spot. Even strained it again simply picking up a laundry basket.

An empty laundry basket. Not good times.
